I Bike Resources and Activities P5-7

This week the I Bike team have been busy putting together STEM & outdoor learning resources. These are aimed at P5-7.

Our animated handbook guides pupils through some background information on trees, their carbon capture & different types of trees. 

There are then 3 further activities:

1. Tree-mendous maths – pupils are given information to help them calculate the carbon emissions from everyday journeys. It relates these to the amount of carbon capture by different trees.
2. Tree-menous history & literacy. Based on the age of the oldest tree pupils found on their adventure, pupils write a short story about what it would have been like to have lived in the year it was planted using some guided questions.
3. Creative Quiz – pupils create their own tree-mendous quiz for friends and family using some fun facts provided.
