P4 Rm14 Mrs rohie

We have settled into term 1 well; we have established our daily routines and are feeling comfortable in being on the first floor. This term our topic is The World of Work, and we have been lucky to have two visitors come and join us so far to talk about their jobs. In Literacy we have been focusing on reading strategies such as predictions, visualisations and characterisation. These skills are also supporting us in our writing where we are looking at narrative texts. In Numeracy and Maths, we have been looking at number sequences and place value. We have been enjoying our cricket sessions with Loui where we have been practicing our bowling and batting skills. In Drama we have all thoroughly liked using our expressions to show how our character feels in different scenarios. We are now working towards building up our confidence to perform in front of our peers.  A little reminder of our PE days which are Monday and Friday. We are also very lucky to learn about all things digital with Mrs Laahs-Bloomer and we have Mr Wright to teach us P.E. This year we have Mrs Saunders supporting us with our learning in class. We have started P4 with lots of positive things and are hoping to continue this through the year. Our highlight of term 1 must be meeting some of the players from St Johnstone FC.
