P5 Rm12 mrs maclean
Welcome to Primary 5 with Mrs MacLean.
In P5 we are going to have a busy year!
We are excited to continue our writing structure from the National Improving Writing Programme in P4. Each day we will learn, practise and apply our knowledge of phonemes and common words in spelling as well as reading regularly and completing a variety of tasks to challenge our use of reading strategies. In Maths we would like to learn through play as much as possible and use at least 1 lesson a week to practise our times tables. Mr Wright will take us for PE each week with Mrs MacLean taking us once a week as well. We are lucky to have Mrs Watt teaching us this year, once a week she will be helping us to develop and improve our Digital skills.
We will keep applying our Growth Mindset to new challenges as we strive to go above and beyond and continue to explore SHANARRI and discuss our wellbeing, linking all to the UNCRC Rights of the Child.
Term 3 for P5 Rm12 is going to be busy! We are splitting the term into 2 topics, our first being World of Work which will involve having local people speaking about their jobs and careers! We will be visiting the V&A Museum for our class trip this term and we will be sharing our learning during our class assembly. Our class is also very lucky to be getting some Rugby sessions delivered for 4 weeks as of Tuesday 14th January.
Lots to look forward to as we continue with our usual routine for curricular areas.
